Charcoal Cavern.

Charcoal Cavern.

Locally known as Algar do Carvão, it's a 45 metres high hollow in an ancient volcanic cone. It is named after a nearby peak called Carvão (charcoal) and it is located in central Terceira, Azores.

No, Brian. From the entrance one must go through a gallery that leads to the bottom of this hollow.
