The lighweight AN/TPN-12 radar operates in X-Band (9000-9160 MHz). The operator console includes a PPI scope for surveillance mode and a B-scan scope for precision approach. PRF is 1500 Hz, pulse width is 550 ns (0.55 µs), peak power 150 kW and average power 120 W. It has a range of 40 nm and a range resolution of 300 ft (100 m).
The Swedish Air Force has adopted this radar as Landningsradar PN-67/T.
