MN0346R KILLARNEY - HIGH SCHOOL
POSTCARD
Reverse side of Killarney High School postcard #MN0346
Notation: This is a wonderful example of how some postcards were smartly used for commercial purposes.
This particular one was never intended to be mailed. The entire reverse side has been used to print a promotional/marketing message. It was likely either given out by hand or mailed in an envelope.
It was used by the Killarney Drug Co. to advertise both its school supplies and Christmas gifts. I like the line; "You must come to our store to see all the good things Santa Clause has here for the Boys and Girls."
The handwritten notations suggest that this one may have been given to a student named Becca Brown by her teacher.
Here is an image of the reverse side. (Click on it to enlarge.)

MN0335 KILLARNEY - TOWN HALL
POSTCARD
Date: Not evident. Unposted
Publisher / Photographer: Unidentified
Notation: I am pretty certain that this winter photo was taken while the Town Hall (& Fire Station) was still under construction. The four fellows in while, I am guessing, are tradesmen of some kind - perhaps painters. The bell is not yet installed in the tower. Many of the windows are boarded up indicating that the glass has not yet been installed.
