Ottheinrichsbau (2xPiP)

Ottheinrichsbau is one of the earliest and most beautiful Renaissance palaces in Germany. Partly destroyed by the French in 1693 the roof was completely destroyed by lightning stroke on 1764. Die Stiftskirche St. Georg in Tübingen wurde 1470-90 unter Graf Eberhard im Barte anlässlich der Gründung der Universität erbaut. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stiftskirche_(T%C3%BCbingen) The collegiate church of St. Georg in Tübingen is a late gothic church built 1470-90 under the regency of Earl Eberhard the Bearded who also established the University. Since 1534 (after reformation) the altar room behind the gothic rod screen houses the tombs of 14 members of the house of Württemberg, among them Eberhard the Bearded. The choir pews were moved into the nave.
