The huge icebergs at Ilulissat come from Sermeq Kujalleq glacier, 40km inland. They travel down Ilulissat Icefjord until they get stopped by an underwater moraine barrier at the end of the fjord. There they break apart and start floating into Disko Bay until they melt away.

Fangelbachfriedhof is one of Stuttgart's historic cemeteries. It was built in 1823, then outside of the city, now a green oasis not far from the centre. It is still in use, the newer graves reflecting that 44% of Stuttgart's inhabitants have migration background.
One of the historic graves is that of the son of playwright/ poet/ philosopher Friedrich Schiller, with Goethe one of the greats of the so called Weimar Classic. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich_Schiller
Schiller's dramas are played in German theatres to this day and they were widely used in Italian opera libretti of the 19th century (Verdi's I Masnadieri, Luisa Miller, Don Carlos, Rossini's Guillaume Tell, Donizettis Maria Stuarda among them)
The bones of Schiller's son were exhumed several years ago for DNA- testing to determine whether the skull in Weimar really was the poet's- it wasn't! There had been doubts very early on but the DNA testing finally brought definite proof. What really happened to Schiller's bones is still unknown.
Two links in German, the first one should be easy with a translator:

Treppenviertel, Blankenese
Once a fishing village, now a posh and very expensive part of Hamburg. Treppenviertel (stair quarter) was built along the steep banks of the river Elbe and is criss-crossed by flights of steps.

SC49 -Bridge
One from the recent archives, I couldn't do much this week due to summer flu. I will slowly catch up in the next days....
The port City of Hamburg has nearly 2500 bridges, many more than Venice (ca. 400).
The ones in the photo are in Speicherstadt ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speicherstadt ) with its old warehouses that stand on timber pile foundations. Speicherstadt and the inner city of Hamburg are criss-crossed by so called Fleets (tidal canals), hence the vast number of bridges.
