A little taken-over by the vegetation! Here's a nice 1990's-era CL&P riser that feeds a McDonalds that was built in 1994. I really like this riser design. One of the last years CL&P used the white Chance bell insulators before fully switching the polymer strains.

I remember CL&P putting up those bell insulators until the early 2000's--2001 or 2002 comes to mind? They used tons of them with the Hendrix visetops, green poles, and jacketed wires. Back in the good ol' days before they started doing the ugly fiberglass 35kV stuff.

First polymer strains they used were the long, skinny 35kV kind like what's on this pole here:
