Actually, I think that is a first for me too. I genuinely thought some of these were wood clamp braced arms.

If they were to brace these crossarms with normal braces, then it would really be hard to tell the difference! It's too bad practically every utility favors those stupid clamp braces when they use composite crossarms now.

I agree with you there-this color seems less 'artificial' making it blend in better. Too bad the utilities where I'm at prefer the dark brown or grey arms.

I think there are some utilities out there that use fiberglass arms but actually use braces to secure the arms-I know Power Scale Modeler has shown this in his photos of PP&L and Delmarva Power off the top of my head.
