Proseken - Dorfkirche

Proseken - Dorfkirche
A church is known in the village of Proseken since 1222. It was It was founded by the Bishop of Ratzeburg, who placed the parish under the archdeaconry of Rehna Monastery. The choir and the nave were built at the same time in the second half of the 13th century, the tower in the second half of the 15th century.

The Romanesque baptismal font certainly dates from the first construction phase of the church. Four bearded men's heads are depicted. Traces of the paint are still visible.
