Großsolt - Kirche
The church was built at the end of the 12th century as a single-nave fieldstone building with a choir. Neither the exact year of construction is known, nor which saint it was originally dedicated to. In the late Gothic period, the porch in front of the south portal was added. It was called "Waffenkammer" (armory), as it served for dropping off weapons brought along
The fieldstone tower was not erected until 1920. Before that, the church had a wooden bell tower (Glockenstapel) leaning against the nave.
Unfortunately the church was locked.
So I could not neiter see the Romaneque baptismal font, nor the triumphal cross and the "Urania", a votiv ship from 1719.
