Avord - Saint-Hugues
Saint-Hugues is known since 1133. The large cross with the "Agnus Dei" can be seen on more Romanesque churches in the Berry region. The place was in use much earlier, as around the church a Merovingian necropolis from the 7th century was unearthed. The sarcophagi were discovered during public works in the 1950s.
There are frescoes inside - but the church was locked.
