Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille - Andy Emler MegaOctet

Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille is known by musicians as this is the place of the "Festival du Monastier" (aka "Festival de Cuivres"), a great meeting centered around "brass". 40 concerts - in 7 days!!

Andy Emler founded "Megaoctet" in 1989 and since then this group has developed something like an incubator for the French Jazz scene, making pianist, conductor and composer Andy Emler to a kind of "Godfather of French Jazz". Over the decades more than 100 well known artists from different musical backgrounds have been part of Megaoctet. Even after 30 years, Megaoctet is "just a beginning" (see the video).
