Arfeld - Protestant Church
Arfeld, now a part of Bad Berleburg, was first mentioned under the name of "Arahfelt" in a charter of the Lorsch Abbey in 800. In 1258 a deanery existed in Arfeld, the (since 1578) protestant late Romanesque hall church was erected during this time.
The nave, seen from the gallery, that was added in 1752. The choir was renewed in 1719, the flat ceiling is from 1828.
