Salette - Saint Pierre

It was no surprise to find this statue near the 12th century-church in Salette.

Seen is "Notre-Dame de La Salette". A Marian apparition was reported by two kids, Maximin Giraud and Mélanie Calvat, at La Salette (near Grenoble) in 1846. Lourdes, the world famous place of pilgrimage is "younger", as the apparition there was reported in 1858.
