Vieux-Mareuil - Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens
A church existed here already around 800. The parish church of today was erected in the 12th century. It got heavily fortified in the 15th and 16th centuries. Today the village only has a population of less than 400. They would probably all find a seat in the massive church.
The first three bays of the single nave church are vaulted domes on pendentives, similar to Souillac (Sainte-Marie), Périgueux (Saint-Front) and Cahors (Saint Etienne).

Die Kuppeln haben einen byzantinischen Ursprung -
Ich sah diese Kuppeln auch in Cahors -
