Como - Duomo di Como
The "Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta" is often described as the last Gothic cathedral built in Italy. The construction started in 1396, on the site of the earlier Romanesque cathedral. Works did not finish until 1770 with the completion of the Rococo cupola. The west front, seen here, was built between 1457 and 1498.
