Thaims - Saint-Pierre

Where the parish church of Thaims is now, was a Roman villa during earlier times. A part of the Roman ruin got integrated into an early merovingian church, of which again parts were "reused", when this church was erected within the 11th century. It got altered a couple of times. In 1916 the complete apse collapsed and had to be rebuilt.
