Do you realize how AWESOME this picture is?!!!! PERFECTION. Composition, lighting, clarity, details, angle...THROUGH THE ROOF!! OUTA THE BALLPARK, YOU HIT THIS NAIL RIGHT ON THE HEAD! Outstanding job. You have given regal status to this beautiful creation of nature. It is an absolutely amazing thing that evolution has led this creature to turn itself into THIS shelled mummy. Within it waits and changes and because of you, we will get to see it transform, the pupa changing slightly in color (possibly?), and then one day, if all goes well, you may be lucky enough to watch it emerge as a butterfly. Insanely cool. I am so happy that you are doing this because you obviously hold this caterpillar in great reverence to take such gorgeous, perfect pictures of it, and now in chrysalis form. What a show. I'm right here front row seat, I've got my popcorn and my tasty beverage. Let the show continue! :D
I got the chance to go to a butterfly exhibit and was lucky enough to be standing there when a monarch emerged...it happens so fast! It was a mind-blowing opportunity for me to see this, and though my pictures aren't perfect, you might like to see them! :)
Here is the emergence! Thanks to you I went through the effort of putting pictures in notes so you can just roll your mouse along the top of the picture to see the show! :)

This is my Butterfly Adventures album, which has lots of pictures taken that day. I was so overjoyed at my experience and the performance of my camera in such horrible lighting! Amazing! I hope you like the pictures, I know you will have fun...butterflies are just so amazing from egg to end of life!

Ok, now you have to realize that I'm not at all surprised because a person doesn't just take the picture above first time around. You've been doing this for a while. I was surprised at the 3 DECADES part but not at all surprised that you've been at this for some time. I'm so fascinated...in fact, I must end this so I can visit your link. Tah!
