From Indonesia. Several plants are growing in the local garden, from seed planted years ago. This year has seen their first flowering.

MARVELOUS!!! It is too bad that you didn't get to see it in full bloom, but your nose is very thankful! I have not seen one in person but they really do stink horribly, so I've read! :D (more comments on your other pictures)

This specimen is set to bloom over this weekend. The last time we saw a spectacular Indonesian species was years ago when we went down to the bottom of a mountain gully to see Raffelsia in flower. This plant is so much more accessible!
