Vertical water-tube boiler at the front of the cab, although there is an apron, the cab is otherwise open fronted. built ?? and worked at Brown Bailey Steels of Sheffield. dps[23] - living van {3 of 3}

02 Jul 2023 29
Information board displayed with the living van [in lieu of an entry in the rally handbook] To summarise - the van was built by Brayshaw's of Yeadon - near Leeds - in 1912 for Henry Miller, was passed to the Proctor family in the 1920s. The Robson family undertook a four year restoration project during 1989 to 1993 {?} The results of their work are stunning - and I'm writing as a person heavily involved in restoration of timber heritage vehicles.

[to the left are the two Sentinel S4 steam waggons, the 10t A&P 'Kathleen' and in the background is the Brayshaw showman's living van].

{4-058} 1921 built Petter M [water-cooled generator set] The switchgear on the right made me smile as it could be seen as an example of pareidolia. in the background is {5-80} Austin K2, built 1948. dps[23] - parade of minis

02 Jul 2023 19
The parade of miniature and model engines was due at 12:15, but things were actually running ahead. Rally handbook lists 34 entries in this class, and most of them are in the main ring. The commentator and many of the exhibitors were in fine form, with some very amusing exchanges.

dps[23] - two unlisted veterans

02 Jul 2023 1 18
These two veteran vehicles were tucked up by the "main stage" ... which suggests that they are also residents at the "Scarborough Fair Collection" left - pre WW1 IHC Autowagon GR 45 [American] - more of a "pick-up" than a car. right - Albion A16 charabanc BF 7455 built 1912 [or 1920 ?] in Scotstoun. Pretty sure I've seen this wee beastie at Beamish Museum's Great North Steam Fair a few years ago.
