O&S - Clock
webfind and a rather overexposed image. Not mine !
Showing an artistic version of a long case clock - note that despite the unusual shape, the vertical space provision for the pendulum is clearly allocated.

O&S(meme) - money 'berg
The lack of real balance between what people get paid for their work, and what that work earns their boss ... which is one of the reasons why anyone working should be in a union. To take it further, it could be said that's why employees / workers should own the means of production ...

O&S(meme) - my books

O&S - swords by weight
It is often said that one of the reasons women did not fight with swords was that the weapons were "too heavy" for the average female, even in societies with a warrior class.
In this graphic the usual weights are compared to some modern items, which possibly disproves that argument. Having said that, fighting with the two-handed broadsword at the bottom would not be easy for anyone.
I have done some re-enactment activities, and weapons feel remarkably heavy after a few hours.

O&S(meme) - Silly Walk Clock

You probably need to be of a certain age to appreciate this clock.
Refers to a Monty Python sketch first broadcast in 1970.
The wiki article gives an extensive explanation ...

gdn - white foxglove
This year (2021) the volunteer foxgloves in my garden included this very white example. I shall attempt to save seeds from it.
My usual crop are the standard purple / pink wild variety. I've a few of those as well.
Many of them will reach just over 6ft (2m) high in their second year.
This one is already over 5ft [21st June] and has more growing to do ...

C-130 - and another one

This C-130 was a bit further away than the usual flight path ... and although I could hear it, my view had been obscured by low cloud !
