twb[23] - Flats from 1939

This block of flats were built 1935 to 1939, as a memorial to the local businessman & philanthropist Sir James Knott. [designed by Tasker & Child, with "best practice" features that included fire-resistant materials and sturdy cellars that could be turned into bomb shelters].
