shw[7-22] - extreme heatwave; part 2
The second period of extreme heat was forecast over the weekend 17-19th July 2022, it produced the first RED warning for temperature and high alerts for medical and transport facilities.
Another heatwave in the first half of August is predicted to last longer than this mid-July period [4 days instead of two] but may not reach 40degrees.
A continuing problem is the near drought conditions.
There have been a lot of "grass" fires, some of which have been escaped BBQs, others have resulted in the distressing loss of family homes. I hope that the idiots who discard lit cigarettes and abandon BBQs actually have a conscience and stop their anti-social behaviour before lives are lost.
