So much for the "pandemic is over" and "get back to work, you plebs" attitude of "living with covid".
IMHO, the tory government's attitude stinks - as in removing support for isolation & free testing, plus reducing mask / social distancing mandates to the level of advice.
[Omicron may be "mild" in the vaccinated, but it still kills the unvaccinated, some of whom can't, for medical reasons, take the jabs and have other vulnerabilities, I deliberately exclude those choosing to stay unprotected for spurious & "religious" dogma].
I also worry that such high case rates will allow the cv-19 virus to continue to mutate, and new variants can as easily be more severe as the trend to be less severe.
