Note, 28th Feb is the First Monday which included information for both Saturday & Sunday, as the Gov't dashboard data was not published over the weekend.
Which explains the high number of new cases reported.

From the 21st February the UK government Covid-19 dashboard will not be updated at weekends. The backdated figures will be included in those for the following Monday, Additionally, the format has been changed to display data for the past seven days as headline totals only, not individual days.

This, IMO, is fudging the data, to imply that the pandemic is over now and we all have to learn to live with covid-19.

Aligned with this position, the legal requirement to isolate after testing +ve has been removed and obtaining even LFT kits has been made more difficult.
