cvd - Plan B as at 8th Dec 2021

Plan B has been introduced as an attempt to reduce the rate at which Omicron cases are proliferating as a fourth wave of infections. This new variant is considerably more infectious than the existing 'Indian' third wave and is spreading rapidly, despite the booster vaccination programme.
Personally, I'm not sure that these loose restrictions will be strong enough and I think we will see a vast number of infections - whether that translates into mass hospitalisations and hence deaths remains to be seen, I hope that final link [with deaths] has been broken by the mass vaccinations program.
