PQR - Breakwater in a storm
South Breakwater Titan crane, probably turned to minimise wind forces. There is a stack of concrete construction blocks awaiting transfer to the North Breakwater.
Waves are breaking over the full height of the south breakwater, the lighthouse at the pier end can be made out.
In the distance, the Titan crane on the North Breakwater, which is still under construction, can be seen, also turned to cope with the wind and waves that are breaking over the pier.
B&W image from around 1930. (used for research into Peterhead harbour's history)
