Fascinating stuff, as usual. I'm guessing the holes are two specific sizes so, are these plugs sliced from a long dowel, to a constant size, or are the holes different depths?

Varying depths, but not by much ... and the plugs were cut from a plank, to keep the grain consistent as these points will be used for fixings / fasteners. (The dowel we might have used was a different species.)
