gbw - seafoam
Solid(ish) sea weed froth (aka spume) from recent stormy weather in the North Sea, washed up on the beach at Whitby. Ben thought it was fascinating, although he didn't like the taste. Spume is the froth formed as algal blooms break up offshore.
