TiG - Q&C 4wheelers

TiG - Q&C 4wheelers
The heritage four wheelers - collectively "bug boxes" or small Birminghams - with the "flying bench" now fitted with canopy and apron.

Fred Fouarge, Marco F. Delminho, Xata, Trudy Tuinstra have particularly liked this photo

I think I prefer the flying bench without the canopy & apron.

Having this "flying bench" in the train was always interesting, but very, very rare to see it run "undressed" ... some of Wales gets very close in places on the route [as in a few inches of clearance] and it was required to have a "competent person" on the bench to ensure passengers behaved ! [HMRI gave a limited operating dispensation after the 1991 rebuild]

Must see if I can find an "undressed" version ... I know I've got some
