olb - St Hilda
The pilot boat for Whitby is an ex-RNLI "Waveney" class lifeboat, now answering to "St Hilda (of Whitby)" and which was on station at Amble and named "Margaret Graham" until 1999.
Whitby's own Waveney was "The White Rose of Yorkshire" but she is now retired after serving in Vancouver, Canada.
