The Chemin de Fer de Provence metre gauge line from Nice to Digne-les-Bains has seen better days. In the station yard the hand operated crane, unused for years, is disappearing into the undergrowth.

Nice Côte d'Azur France 29th September 2019

The beautiful curves of the Art Nouveau iron and glass canopy and Arles stone sculptures of the Gare de Nice-Ville which was opened in 1867 by the Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée company (PLM). The canopy is very similar in style to that at the same company's Lyon Gare des Brotteaux.

Avenue de St-Ouen Petite Ceinture Paris France 8th December 1985

This IFC tour was headed by SNCF 4-6-0 230G 353 and traversed all the sections of the Petite Ceinture that were still in place in 1985. Not that I really knew where I was as my knowledge of the geography of Paris was slim to non-existant at the time. This was the disused station of Avenue de Saint-Ouen in the north of Paris. HFF and keep safe.
