Dresden Saxony Germany 16th April 2023

We were double-headed by DR Class 50 2-10-0 50 3648-8 and Class 23-10 2-6-2 35 1097-1 from Dresden to Freiberg on the Sunday of the 15th Dresden Steam Festival.

The driver in the cab of 1097-1 was checking out the Dresden platform activity while waiting to depart.

He was very dapper! I suspect his fireman was already a bit dirtier! I took this before the journey so with the 2-10-0 in front shoving out clouds of black smoke on the climb out he may well have got his uniform dirty too...
