Ravensthorpe West Yorkshire 13th September 2019

Another early morning visit to the ex-LNWR River Calder railway bridge at Ravensthorpe built by Joseph Butler & Co. at their iron works at Stanningley near Leeds 172 years ago in 1847. Still in use today - they don't built 'em like that anymore.

My timing wasn’t good because there had been a signal failure between Huddersfield and Dewsbury so many trains were cancelled or delayed. This unidentified TansPennine Express Class 185 Desiro diesel multiple unit was running 23 minutes late on 1P63 the 06.44 Manchester Airport to Middlesbrough service.
