Has anybody else experienced this problem? Most of the views I get on my photos are from "Anonymous." I know that everybody on the internet has an IP address, and I am certain Ipernity knows this as well. After all, they use "IP" as part of their name. So, how come the identity of these users are being kept from me? I feel I have a right to know who is looking at my pictures so that I can see if they're doing anything improper or not - like stealing my photos.

And not only that, every time I post any picture, within a couple minutes I always have 1 anonymous view. How come I always get 1 anonymous view every single time? Some of these anonymous views come from who knows where because I don't post every shot I upload into a group. Is somebody stalking me so that they can look at my pictures within minutes of every one I post? This is creepy and I feel I have the right to know. I have sent notice of this issue to Ipernity.

All of what you say may be totally true, but you did not explain one thing. How is it that I always get an anonymous views just moments after I post every picture? If a picture online and the link to this picture didn't exist moments before I uploaded it, how can people find it so fast?

And that simple maxim is getting way overused. Anything can be stolen whether it's "out there" or locked in a vault.

Well then, somebody needs to create some software people can use that will block users who have no IP to show. That way, only people who are registered or with nothing to hide will be allowed through to any given link you want them to see.

It's like you can pay the telephone company so that your number will not show up on somebody else's caller ID. Or can pay extra for caller ID just so that you can identify every caller's number you get. There is something wrong with both of those instances being allowed at the same time.

Why is it that you can't view anything on the BBC player? Is it because they have it set up so that only people who live in the UK can experience the full program schedule? Are you stating that you hide your IP address just to skate around somebody else's rules? I'm not trying to be facetious here, just curious.

Oh, and I didn't mention anything about people having to comment. For me, it's just nice to know that somebody cared enough to look at my picture and that I can see who it was. Knowing that somebody looked at my picture, but was hiding his identity for "some reason," doesn't instill much confidence in me that he doesn't have any ulterior motives.
