Sandaoling power station
Seen through the shimmering haze this is the local coal-fired power station at Sandaoling, Xinjiang Autonomous Region in the far west of China. There were plans to build another 700MW plant here but due to new restrictions announced during 2016 by the National Energy Administration and the National Development and Reform Commission, further capacity expansions at this location appear to be on hold or cancelled.
