Veiled
Queen Victoria is slightly hidden by the veil of the pigeon netting as she presides over the entrance to Birmingham's Victoria Law Courts. This magnificent red terracotta building was completed in 1891 with most of the decorative work supplied by J C Edwards of Ruabon. The creation of this particular statue for Edwards' was undertaken by London based sculptor Harry Bates.
The quality of the work on this building is outstanding and it is no surprise that it is Grade 1 listed.
