Ark of Sebastopol

Cultures across the globe have flood stories, recording how their people and animals survived the inundation. Here in Sebastopol, California, last year's unprecedented rains saw floodwaters isolating communities and cutting off access to the outside world. Once again, Noah gathered his flock and set sail to begin anew after the waters receded.

This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera with a Kowa 1:3.5/55mm lens and Kowa L1A ø67 filter using CineStill 50D film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
