This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera with a KOWA 1:5.6/250 lens and Kowa L39 3C(UV) ø67 filter attached to a T1 (75mm) extension tube using Fuji Pro 400-H film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Wonderful close-up. I love these little guys. We used to live near Spreckel's lake, and there was always a contingent of them sitting on turtle rock (as we called the cement figure of a turtle at the west end.)

Yep. "Turtle Rock." Funny, I don't think I ever photographed it. This one's cute, but it's even cuter when you have half a dozen of different sizes.
When they drained the lake some years ago, they had to relocate the turtles then bring them back. At least, I think that's what happened ....
