Late in the Day

Late in the Day
Late, yes. But, enough time to admire the afternoon glow of the setting sun on the vineyards of Stags' Leap.

This photo was shot from a Hasselblad 500C with a Distagon 1:4 f=50mm T* Lens using Kodak Portra 400 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized with Photoshop.

I have always wanted to be there to see the grape leaves turn, but life gets in the way. By the time I get there later this year the vines will be bare.

Is this a "new" camera? It is the first time I have seen you post an image from a Hasselblad.

The vineyards are the best Fall colors in Northern California. Each varietal turns at a different time making a patchwork of colors.
The Hasselblad I inherited from my late father-in-law who purchased it new about 1960. I have added a 50mm and a 150mm lens to the 80mm and 250mm lenses that came with this classic camera. You will find an Ipernity Album of mine with more than a dozen posts.
