Ball Court Wall

Ball Court Wall
Decorating the walls of the Ball Court in the Yucatan Mayan ruins of Chichén Itzá are reliefs depicting the sport spectacle played here centuries ago. The games were apparently quite bloody.

This image, shot from a Yashica ELECTRO 35CC, is from a 35mm Kodak slide and was scanned by an HP Scanjet G4050, digitalized with Photoshop.

This is so unusual. It's definitely a will that will stand out in today's selection.

A fascinating shot and the history behind it. Did you ever see the movie "The Road to Eldorado?" It had a scene in it where it depicted a game in a court like this. Although it was a cartoon movie, I don't think it was for kids. It was more of a tribute to the old Road pictures of Crosby and Hope. The two main guys even morph into Crosby and Hope for a brief second or two.
