i have such a hard time taking b&w photos of nature - i'm always impressed when people can do it.
I do think that medium format cameras capture a very different kind of image from more conventional SLRs.
At the time, I also felt like I didn't know what I was doing -
this was not exactly 'nature' - it was next to a car park in Knaresborough Yorkshire, and I had to be quick, because just after I had taken the photo, a bunch of kids came along and ran about all over it...!
raingirl club has replied to Jim Kerslake clubi think we rarely give ourselves the credit we deserve - you obviously knew what you were doing.
love the story of where it was and the kids arriving moments later. its a reminder that our photography is still art and not just journalism.
