Odds & ends

I have longed to take a few pet photos, and I got the chance this afternoon when I went for a yummy lunch (nothing like egg sandwiches and homemade plum tart with whipped cream!!) at a friend's house with a couple of other friends. Just love these huge yellow saucers and the whiskers! Thank you, Mandy, for posing for me, however briefly!

Just a tiny, white feather I saw on my walk two days ago. I liked the pattern seen in the part that is a little sharper than the rest.

Part of a spider web in North Glenmore Park. I was just a little amused to see a "knot" in an otherwise "perfect" web.

If anyone didn't read the first heading for this photo before I deleted it, any ideas as to what this is?

Another photo of her cat for my friend, Margit. It made such a nice change to photograph someone's pet!

.... or a hawk? I got a surprise when I tried to quickly photograph these two planes zooming overhead - there was a bird of prey, seeming to be flying in formation with its metal imitations!

I think this will probably be the last (or maybe the last but one) photo I will post of a friend's cat called Mandy. It was fun photographing a friend's pet instead of the usual flowers, birds and insects!
