Pretty in macro size

Pretty in macro size
The tiny flowers of Common Cow Parsnip (Heracleum maximum/lanata) are so pretty when seen close up. Macro shot taken at Bow Valley Provincial Park on 21 July 2013. This tall plant, which grows in moist meadows, thickets, and streambanks, can grow up to 4-9'. The white flowers are 1/4 to 1/2 inch across, in clusters 4-8 inches across. It is a member of the Carrot family (Apiaceae).

, LeapFrog, have particularly liked this photo

Ha, here is one that originated in Europe, but is now considered native to Northwestern United States, but is found all across both Canada and the United States. So, I guess there are such a things as "naturalized species" ... LOL ... terrific lighting and clarity on this macro Anne ... well taken!!
