Great Gray Owl with prey
This was about the only rather blurry photo out of all the shots I took of this gorgeous Great Gray Owl the other day. Only got the chance for this one quick shot of it with its catch, though - and I blew it, LOL! I have sharpened it, but the owl's face and prey are still somewhat blurry. Still wanted a record of one of these impressive birds of prey with a mouse/meadow vole (?) that it had just captured. Amazing to watch the whole watch/swoop/catch process. The owl didn't eat this animal, but after landing on this fence post, it flew off into the trees with it - maybe to a nest?.
