Master of the woodlands
A photo from about seven months ago, taken on 26 January 2012. When I went looking for the tiny Northern Saw-whet Owl at Carburn Park, I was walking along one of the trails through the trees when I suddenly found this handsome White-tailed buck standing in the middle of the path way ahead of me. He just stood there, giving me the chance to get a few (fully zoomed) photos. It's unfortunate, really, that the Deer in this location are less fearful of humans than in other places I see them.
