Wonder what it's thinking

Wonder what it's thinking
I still have quite a few photos of this beautiful Northern Hawk Owl to post - sorry : ) This is another photo taken on March 21st, the day that gave several of us so many great chances for photos. Full zoom really helps, ha. The only cropping in this photo was to remove the left hand side of the image in order to make it square. For maybe a couple of weeks now, the owl is usually seen near the top of extremely tall trees (from what I have seen and from what others are telling me) - very little activity going on, hopefully not because of too many photographers/birders going out there.

The Northern Hawk Owl is a medium-sized owl, about 35 centimetres (14 inches) long. It is rare to uncommon in Alberta, year round. Apparently, it is one of Alberta's most sought-after birds by birders.
