Peppermint beauty

Peppermint beauty
Posted my photos early this morning, before dashing out for a three-hour walk in Fish Creek Park (Votier's Flats to Bebo Grove). Went yesterday morning, too, knowing that these walks would keep me off the computer - very painful elbow, no doubt thanks to too much mouse clicking, though I think it all started when I had a hard time opening the 12 boxes from England. Too much computer has simply made it worse. Really needed some fresh air and sunshine, too. It was beautiful out, except for the Wind Warning that is in effect. The weather forecasters sure were right this time! On our return walk, we discovered that a tall tree had just blown down across the path at Bebo Grove. Our timing could have been a whole lot worse, and I suspect that quite a few other trees will also have suffered in this wind storm. It's still tremendously windy this afternoon. Later: apparently, winds reached hurricane-strength. Fortunate that it happened on a Sunday, otherwise there would have been a lot more people about, especially in downtown Calgary, parts of which were closed off because of all the flying debris.
