A precious find

A precious find
This tiny mushroom was one of the fungi I found to photograph at Brown-Lowery Provincial Park while botanizing part of the area on August 20th. That day and a day at Rod Handfield's, near Millarville, are the only two days this year that I have seen more than a handful of fungi! I went over to Brown-Lowery again yesterday afternoon, but was just too hot and tired to spend more than an hour and a half in the forest. Hardly a mushroom to be seen and most were in really bad condition - got photos of maybe three : ) Don't like to think that it will be almost a year before there is a chance for fungi again. On the other hand, there seemed to be such an overwheming number of fungi photos on Flickr last year and I think I found this just too much and my passion overdosed and waned somewhat, ha. It was really nice to have the company of two rare Three-toed Woodpeckers in the trees around me yesterday! Also, a family of Gray Jays flew into the area briefly.
