This Bracted Honeysuckle (Lonicera involucrata) plant was growing at the edge of the parking lot at Takakkaw Falls, near Field, British Columbia. I so rarely see this species, so I was delighted to see it there. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a flower in good condition, but I unknowingly (till I went to crop my image) chose one that had a visiting, tiny Aphid on it. Macro shot taken on August 1st.
