Koran necklace

Koran necklace
My youngest daughter (who was born in Oman, Middle East) has to do a project for the course she is taking and she plans on doing it on Oman. So, I dug out this silver Koran necklace (they are used to carry verses from the Koran) and photographed it this morning in case it is of any use to her. All my photos taken in Oman between 1972 and 1978 are dreadful quaity and really not much use for anything, other than memories. Ever since then, I have dreamed of one day being able to return there for a short visit - how I would LOVE the chance to take endless digital images over there! However, now that I am back down to earth, I know there is no chance of this ever happening, LOL.

The old jewellery in Oman was very crudely made - but I LOVE it. I'm not a modern jewellery kind of person, but prefer something with so much more character and interest and each piece individually made.
